As a 21-year-old new agent, Nikki Taylor Friedman knocked on doors, hosted countless open houses for fellow agents, and seized every opportunity to get face-to-face with clients. Now 28, Friedman gets a lot of her business through referrals, but her philosophy of sparing no effort remains the same. "I feel that I get by giving," says Friedman. "I throw client appreciation parties. I go to dinner with clients. I stop by their house. My clients become my friends." Friedman specializes in first-time home buyers and luxury resale—clients on opposite ends of the experience scale. But she is passionate about offering the same high-quality, customized service to all. Friedman is equally passionate about giving back to the community. She recently helped plan a one-day baseball fundraiser that netted $3,000 for the American Cancer Society. Each spring, she volunteers at a 5K run that benefits a local state park. And every October, Friedman powers through a 100-mile bike ride to raise money for God’s Love We Deliver—a charity that provides meals for people who are too sick to cook for themselves. "Every year, I forget how hard that ride is," says Friedman. "I’m not the fastest or the most poised out there. But I’m always ready to give my all for a good cause." Nikki Taylor Friedman, with Douglas Elliman in Huntington, N.Y., is a member of the 30 Under 30 class of 2024. NAR members who are under the age of 30 as of May 31, 2025, are invited to apply for the next class of 30 Under 30. The application period for 2025 opens today.
